Impact Windows & Doors in Palmetto Bay

Much of Palmetto Bay was rebuilt or heavily repaired after Hurricane Andrew came through in 1992. Those rebuilds are now more than thirty years old, which means a lot of homes here are reaching the end of the service life on windows that were installed just before the modern approval standard took hold.

It is a common misunderstanding locally that a post-Andrew home is already protected. Some are, but plenty were repaired under the older code with products that would not qualify today. Checking what is actually installed before assuming it is rated is worth doing, and it belongs in any serious estimate.
